Hey. I'm new to The Megas forum, but I've been a long time Megas fan, and recently emailed The Megas about a Megas game. I got permission to make one, and what attacks they wanted! Yes! There was only one problem... I am a terrible artist, but a good programmer. So, I am requesting some help with the artist. Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated, and would get your name and your art in the project. For anyone who is interested, here are the animation specs.

P.S. For help with attack ideas, the robot masters are Floss Man, Candy Man, Adventure Man, Entertainment Man, Oneup Man, Glove Man, and Code Man. (Yes, they all represent different video game bands/artists.)

12 characters, 8 bit style.

1: Greg: Standing, Running, Jumping, Stunned, Throwing. Also Need 9 types of hats for use as projectiles.

2. Eric: Standing, Running, Jumping, Stunned, Dashing, and Attacking. For Attacks I need different slashes Eric can preform with his hair turning into a sword.

3. Josh: Standing, Running, Jumping, Stunned, and Attacking: For attacking the only animation I realy need is Josh with a mic rocking out for a second, then I can add in the effects it has later on.

4. Mikey: Standing, Running, Jumping, Stunned, and Shooting: For projectiles I need a drumstick, a larger drumstick, and then a cymbel.

5-12: The Robot Masters: Do what you please! The list of them is above the specs. Just as long as they are 8-bit and have a standing, jumping, running, and attacking animation, along with any projectiles they would use, and thats all!

If you have any ideas or Wily Bosses/minor enemies, reply! Anyone who contributes will be thanked, and their sprites will probably be used in the game.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning on coding this in? If you end up needing any programming offloaded, I may be able to help.

I'm totally useless from a sprite-creation side, though, sorry.

8 bit Tiddlywinks needs to be in there for josh somehow, whether it's his get weapon face, an attack or what, I don't know.

It should be a portrait in the center of the level select screen when Josh is chosen as a character, a la MM3. What makes that perfect is that the eyes would follow the player, which makes Tiddlywinks *shudder* even creepier.

That was actually my first idea when I tried that stupid rom hack...but that sprite is split up among so many tiles that i couldn't actually figure out which needed to change to make it happen *shakes fist*.

This game is a much better idea because it can be coded from the ground up with modern utilities and doesn't require actually dredging through 8-bit, 4-colors-per-palette bullshit to actually accomplish something.

I'm coding this in Multimedia Fusion 2, making my own static object platform engine that I may release afterwards for the general public.

Ah, cool, starting a pretty high level means we might actually see this come into fruition. I'm building a game in XNA and having to deal with actually writing large chunks of the engine :\.

I wouldn't mind trying to think of some ideas for some robot masters. I don't know how well I could sprite them, though.
