Close, but no Megas
All remixes of it seem too true to the song itself and are around 1.5 minutes long. Need longer rockout sessions.

That's how long the theme is... If you wanted something longer you'd be venturing into medley territory. Even though the Minibosses don't do the intro theme they still have a kick ass medley or you could watch someone play an amazing one from start to finish with Bit Brigade.

Man, a Doc Robot song could be awesome, and you could play the parts from Get Equipped where each Robot Master says something about his brothers. "I see the faces of my brothers that have fallen before/I'll avenge the death of my robot brothers/The strongest of all the other robots is me (or I promise you I won't rest until I have defeated you)/The countless slain scream out in searing pain" etc. And maybe mix that with the boss fight music? I imagine Doc Robot would be an interesting character, that has a bit of personality himself, which is then replaced by the Robot Master that gets downloaded into him.
Some lyrics about how Megaman has to return to the place he destroyed, to look at what he'd done, maybe Doc would be haunted by their voices or something? Just throwing out ideas to make the next album possibly come out even later. XD

Get Re-Equipped should feature the intro theme or boss theme, maybe not a completely full fledged song, but I doubt the boys want to write more Megaman after History Repeating.

@Jay C: Wow. That actually makes a lot of sense, and is a pretty excellent idea all around, I feel like. I also imagine that if wily was "reformed", he may have been able to pick up things from his old partner, maybe? I kind of like that as a reasoning behind returning to work with Light beyond simply creating Gamma - Wily needs more experience and a more robust understanding of robotics to really be able to create robots that could do what he needs them to. I've always assumed they both specialized in vastly different areas, and in my head, at least, Light's specialty was more the programming side of things (he builds X, after all). I mean, they both can obviously do both, but that would explain things so neatly...
@TRC: Maybe? I think it was, but at MAGfest last year, when they commented on the controversy as to which one was thinking it, someone shouted "Maybe it's a mutual thought" and they mentioned using that? I don't know if they did, or if they did and it has changed as things developed, or if they didn't. I never heard more about it since then. It definitely sounds more like Light to me now, especially with the word about his somewhat darker turn. I guess I was also wondering whether or not it was still mutual, since Light seems to be taking a much darker turn.

I'm referring more to the way they changed the character select theme. It is about 10 seconds long looped, and they made a 4 minute song out of it. You can easily rock out to the heavy part for 2.5 minutes by slightly messing with the melody.

Actually arranging music is harder than it sounds.
Plus The Megas don't do their amazing work full time. Making it harder.
Honestly though, I've been in a VG band, not easy to arrange and we were some of the better musicians in my community.

I don't know offhand which you're referring to, but they busted into several MM3 songs during their set, so it could be from that.

Given that Josh is a reverend and Mikey is from Hell, will me playing the MM3 album summon demons or drive them away?

I'm guessing forward will drive them away and playing it backwards will summon them.

JT It's Wily 5-6 from Megaman 3. It's the FACE THE EIGHT BOSSES IN A ROW level song.
You don't remember it because it plays the boss music every time.

Well I also don't remember it because I haven't finished/am not a big fan of MM3, aside from the music.

Pretty sure I've talked about it before. MM3 is on the lower half of the scale for me. It's not bad or anything, I just don't like a lot of things about it.
