I'm torn between those two. Out of Time was my favorite out of the gate, but Heart of Fire is growing on me.

Not a full rhyme, but it still grooves.

Please tell me how that's even half a rhyme.

Belmonts were okay. I'm listening for a second time and I'm actually enjoying it less than the first time.
I listen to Megas almost every day so that's s pretty big difference.

Bloody Tears wins for the simple reason that they worked in "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse" into the lyrics and made it sound good as h*ck. Lyrical genius right there.

I wasn't super hyped for this initially due to not being a Castlevania fan and then I listened to it and now I'm hyped as hell let's do this

They're just different styles, man. The Megas was kind of rockish and punkish and even some metalish in some of their songs (Mostly on Get Equipped, since Mega Man 2 OST really lends itself for rock composition). In History Repeating they got some techno in, mostly by including synth. Mega Man 3 OST lends itself for some epic techno rock.

And then, we got into Castlevania. I've listened music from CV in different styles, and while they can be great as power metal and symphonic, my favorite style for these songs, hands down, is The Belmonts one. You can be a Metalhead, but that synthpop/80's Rock is so good to just let it pass.

History Repeating: Red was my favorite album last year and... The only reason The Belmonts is not my favorite album this year is... well... is not an album. Three awesome songs... that ultimately left me hyped and wanting a full album. Pretty sure i am not the only one... :3

That's more the fault of the source material than anything.

I'm still diggin' the EP, but CV's got nothing on Mega Man musically.

I haven't broken the lyrics thread up because the forums are Bloom led at work.

Got to love those vampire killing grooves, man. Though the style is a little Out of Time, it makes my Heart Of Fire to burn inside and even some Bloody Tears from not believers can't spoil it. They just don't know What a Horrible Night To Have A Curse...
