A bunch of people said they liked roleplaying, so I decided to just go ahead and make a dedicated thread. We can use this to organize games and swap stories and shill for systems we like and all that other cool stuff.

Yeah, I play League of Legends casually and people hate me because of it. My friends talk about it constantly and I'm like, ehhh... Anyways, D & D. Last kind of character I played as was a sorceress. She was pretty cool :3 She has a cat, too. My DM had us stuck in a crazy underground prison cave thing with undead people. Was fun

A fun tradition among my friends is that, each time we start a new campaign, one person is subjected to a 'Throbby-ing', which can make the campaign a bit more interesting. To 'Throbby' someone is to pick a member of the group and make their character for them. They have no input, and have to work with what they're given unless the character dies. The practice was named after one guy showed up late to the first session of our first game and found himself playing a Bugbear Barbarian with 1 Int named Throbnobular, or Throbby. Naturally, the Throbby tends to be the most interesting character.

So, wait. Are we actually going to play in post-form? Who's the DM, and how are we rolling dice etc.? Is the DM gonna do it for us so we don't 'cheat' or is it like an honor system? This kinda sounds like fun, actually...

I don't think that was the original purpose of the thread, but it could work quite well if others wanted to...

I've never done D & D but I'd support the idea. It would certainly boost activity on the forum.

I've actually had a campaign once where all but one character were Throbbys as it were. Not fully, but no one but one guy who bullied his way into the campaign got to pick their own characters. We were assigned class and race, and we got to build from there.
My party made me a Dwarven paladin, mostly to see how quickly they could frustrate me into a fall from divine grace. *sigh*

Yeaaah, how many timezones are interested? On the bright side, I only have two weeks of classes left for a while.
