...the keyboardist of the Megas joins the forums.

Now you're probably thinking, wow! this guy took a year and three months and two Magfests after joining the band to have the decency to come on a say hi on the forums. I mean, a frakin HI?!

My friends, there is no story I can conjure, no woe I can use as an alibi that can justify this injustice. And for this, I owe you all a debt.

But now that i'm here, HELLO!

A bit about myself for those who don't know me.. I'm originally from Washington, Michigan. I studied Music Business at Indiana State University and in my ten year stint in Los Angeles thus far, I've worked on music and music implementation for some video games including Myst IV and Mass Effect 2; Toured the US with an industrial band called Mankind Is Obsolete; operated a video game internet radio station and podcast called Game Music Radio (where i actually first discovered The Megas); and three years ago joined Video Games Live as their Production Manager and get to travel the world with them.

I teamed up with the Megas in Nov of 2010 and my first show as Magfest 9 (2011). Writing music with this band has been the best experience I've ever had in a collaborative musical environment. And I'm very much looking forward to finish the Megaman 3 album with the guys and sharing it with all of you very soon.

I love anything Transformers, Star Wars and almost anything Sci-fi. TV shows i'm watching currently are The Walking Dead, Nikita, Touch, Being Human, Lost Girl, An Idiot Abroad, Transformers Prime and Portlandia. I'm a I play a lot of video games and enjoy video game music soundtracks. I currently stream on twitch tv so feel free to come hang out as i'm usually streaming in the evenings http://www.twitch.tv/fallreload

But enough about me.. I want to get to know ya'll.

What games are you playing now?
What TV shows are you watching?
What game are you most looking forward to this year?
What Megaman 3 Megas song are you most looking forward to hearing?
Most extreme thing you've ever done?

Welcome to the forums! I've been kind of out of the loop for the past year, so it wasn't until the most recent Magfest set that I even realized/remembered there WAS a new member to the group, but I'm definitely liking what I've heard so far. I cannot wait to finally get my hands on this album - the anticipation is probably slowly killing me.

Here's hoping I get to see you guys play live again, so I can experience these keyboard skills firsthand.

Mass Effect 2, lol. Getting all hyped up for 3.
What TV shows are you watching?
I don't watch any TV unless it's online or through Netflix. I've been putting on Frasier lately when I'm bored.
What game are you most looking forward to this year?
Mass Effect 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, Darksiders 2... and possibly the Sonic/Sega All-Stars racing sequel I've been hearing rumors about.
What Megaman 3 Megas song are you most looking forward to hearing?
I don't know if you guys are doing the Game Over song, but NNNGH
Most extreme thing you've ever done?
Probably getting my face melted by the Megas /brown-nose

Lost Odyssey, Fire Emblem 7 & 8, Gotham City Imposters.
Whatever comes on that doesn't suck.
Honestly not even sure, most of the stuff I've been looking forward to is Q1/Q2 and none of it is "HOLY SHIT MUST BUY" stuff.
The only two songs I've heard (besides Spark) have been Top and Stage Select, which are my two favorites. So out of the remaining ones, I'd go with Shadow and the Protowhistle/End song.

Nice! I'm going to start my Renegade playthrough this week of ME2 to get set for march 6. ME3 is the only game i have on pre-order besides Hitman Absolution. Darksiders 2 for sure! Yes we're doing every lick of music from Megaman 3

I believe I will respond to any of the names listed above. lol I've been hammering through Star Wars The Old Republic (lvl 29 Jedi Knight Guardian) and have been neglecting my 360 for the last 2 months.

Still waiting for the official site to say "The Megas Are: Mike Eric Greg briAn joSh :P You must become initiated. Oh, that's a good question! Was there any sort of initiation into the Megas that the other 4 made you go through. Or was that MAGfest 9?

But, glad you could finally make it to the forums. I see how it is. You don't come and say hi for a whole year*

*Because of all the amazing amount of music and video game and job related stuff you've been doing. Sounds like you're a busy man.

Should be pretty fun to finally hear you in official album quality.

Now onto questions:

1. I need to finish Skyward Sword still, and I've been playing Mario Kart 7 for a little. Can't wait for things like Kid Icarus Uprising or Paper Mario 3D, but I haven't been playing much recently.

2. Not really keeping up to date with TV this year. I liked The Mentalist, but haven't kept up on this current season. I have been watching some anime though, recently watched Gurren Lagann and finished the first season of Code Geass a couple of weeks ago. Also watching Ouran High School Host Club. That's pretty much all I have time for, school's keeping me pretty busy.

3. More 3DS games, because I'm really excited for some of those. I'm mostly in a lull this year because I'm so busy, but we'll see what comes out.

4. Since I haven't heard it yet, I can legitly say Top Man. I'm really excited to see what gets done with Needle and Hard man lyrically (and their themes are pretty fun, too). And Magnet Man, though I don't know how "Don't Fuck with Magnet Man" could ever be topped :P. But somehow, you guys are going to do it.

5. Hmm, well, I wasn't the craziest gymnast around, but I've done a few double back flips off rings and front handspring full twists off of pretty much every event ('cept pommel horse), though those never felt too off the wall extreme for me. Off the top of my head though, I can't remember anything particularly extreme that I've done.

Also I type/talk for too long all the time.

I've been playing Mass Effect recently, trying to get through ME1 and 2 since they've been sitting on my shelf for so long without me actually playing through them yet. Any specific music tracks or parts you did in ME2?

OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD: The Walking Dead, Being Human, How I Met Your Mother, Mike and Molly, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, The River, Justified, White Collar, Parenthood, Modern Family, The Office, Parks and Rec, Grimm, New Girl, Raising Hope.

And that's just the things that are currently on! Things like Community, Cougar Town (comes back tomorrow, yessss), Burn Notice, and Psych are also on the list. Shit, I watch a lot of TV.

Nice! I can tell you're a Nintendo fan. And doing double triple back ninja flips off of rings is pretty extreme in deed!

I wrote the Collector base ambient theme. It appears in 2 spots in the game. Once when you first land on the abandoned Collector ship and reused on the Normandy Crash site. Other than that my major contribution to ME2 was doing all the music implementation, music editing for minor cinematics and music design for all acquisition and loyalty missions.

I am equally stoked for Shadowman. the River looks crazy, is it good? Put Arkham city into your disc drive of you console and press start. You will not regret it. I've watched "First Week In" and jails are nuts, so yea, that's extreme.

Awesome, what server/class you playing on? I'm on Krath, Jedi knight.
So i take it you we're role-playing a reenactment of the game Bad Dudes when you got into a brawl with 8 dudes? Walking Dead ftw.

Good to see you FINALLY here.

What games are you playing now?
Final Fantasy VI, Mega Man Zero Collection. These games are both boss as fuck.

What TV shows are you watching?
I don't watch a lot of television. I do however watch a metric asstonne of Anime.
Yet I've recently moved to another country and can't really watch any.

What game are you most looking forward to this year?
I don't really know. I don't play a good portion of new games. I was raised on the old ones.
This is weird because I'm a member of the new generation (I'm 17).

What Megaman 3 Megas song are you most looking forward to hearing?
Mega Man 3 Megas? Not sure if they're happening... but Wily Castle opening
(I want to arrange that into a 3 minute prog metal mix... cause why the fuck not)
and Wily 5-6. An often forgotten track. I love that track however.

Most extreme thing you've ever done?
Punched a dude in the face for offering me drugs.
I was young and didn't know how to go about saying no... so I sorted punched him.

Hope that helps.
