Everybody hit Print Screen and show off those desktops!
Since I'm spending the summer in Ohio with my parents, I don't have my usual 19" widescreen with me and I've had to make do.

I'm on my dads shitty compute for the weekend so this will have to do for now... also I have no idea why the wallpaper is like that.

Where do you go to save your desktop as a pic

There's a key somewhere in the top right side of your keyboard that probably says something like "PrntScn" or something like that. Hit that and it immediately takes a snapshot of whatever's displaying on the monitor, then just paste it into a jpeg.

Pro-tip: Holding down alt when pressing print screen will take a screen cap of only the current window.

I know a lot of people who are like that. But to me, the desktop is my workspace. I actually USE it like a desktop. It's where I save all my files, to be organized later. It's where I keep my latest projects, or quick access programs. I try to keep it neat, and eventually everything gets put away... but I've never understood the point of keeping the desktop barren.

My friend has over 2/3 of his desktop covered with shit, most of which I'm certain he hasn't touched in years. I only like to have the essentials. If I have enough essential things to warrant using 2/3 of my dekstop, then so be it. That's not the case at the moment, though.
For instance, all those emulators on your desktop, Fox, I would just put in a 'Games' folder to simplify things.

I've had it that way before, but I kind of like having a gamer panel up at the top. It's non-obtrusive, and quicker to access. I mostly only keep it there for aesthetic value. Depending on my wallpaper, sometimes I'll drag them back to the "Games" folder.
I also like to keep a full icon panel on the left, so that when I save things to my desktop, they appear at the top of the screen, rather than at the bottom where the icons leave off (like they would on Megatheist's). I don't like to mix my standard icon set with temporary files. It's an OCD thing. If I have to have icons there, I might as well take up the entire column.

Note the bottom-left corner, and the + pattern I made with the icons because I had nothing better to do one day (well, except homework, but...).

How in the hell is your resolution that small?
Nice custom taskbar, though. How'd you manage that one?

Do you just use gigantic icon sizes then?
